Shakeup At ABC 7

Now that competitor SNN News 6 has gone off the air, local ABC Televison affiliate, WWSB Channel 7, has decided to eliminate the weather portions of their daily broadcasting schedule in an effort to slash costs. Accordingly, the station's management announced that, starting Monday, Bob Harrigan will be relegated to doing only the "Goin' Fishing" segment with Capt. Jonnie Walker on Fridays, John Scalzi will take over the puppy adoption portions of the weekday noon newscasts and Wendy Ross will go back to selling real estate.

Viewers will be instructed to get their weather here.

In another programming note, business expert, Richard Stern, will be dispensing his financial and economic insight wearing a gypsy bandana on his head and peering into a crystal ball with the familiar WWSB "7 in a circle" logo on it.
